LAYING STRONG LEARNING FOUNDATION

Preschool

Children between the ages of 2 and 5, often referred to as the golden age, represent a crucial period for providing comprehensive stimulation tailored to their developmental stages. As a Christian school in Surabaya, we also aim to introduce children to their personal relationship with God. The preschool years are filled with adventure and mark a time of rapid development in children's curiosity and imagination. Our goal is to prepare children for enjoyable learning experiences, shaping them into individuals who will continue to enjoy learning new things in all aspects of their lives in the future.

Small Group Learning

We maintain an effective teacher-student ratio:

  • at the playgroup level: 3 teachers for 15 students
  • at the Kindergarten level: 2 teachers for 17 students

We emphasize small group learning to allow children to focus on listening, exploring, and understanding concepts. This approach also helps children develop their socio-emotional skills through interaction and cooperation with their peers.

Curiosity Driven Learning

Each activity is designed to pique children's curiosity. Our teachers encourage children to ask questions, make predictions, and draw simple conclusions, fostering creativity, imagination, and the ability to communicate their thoughts to others.

Experiential Learning

Children actively explore every aspect of learning and various areas of the school. Through movement, songs, thematic activities, role-playing, sensory exploration, and practicing daily life skills, children engage in experiential learning tailored to their developmental stages.
