Elementary

The elementary stage is crucial for establishing a solid educational foundation. This period presents an opportunity for students to face more challenging and dynamic academic experiences. In this stage, we focus on nurturing character, moral values, self-discipline, and basic knowledge across subjects. Through fostering Christian values, exploring talents, promoting cooperation, and molding sportsmanship, students are equipped to apply their skills effectively beyond the classroom.

MSCS functions as an SPK school

which means providing education beyond the minimum national requirements, offer most of subjects taught in English, and offers international curriculum as the standard curricula-, allowing the school to adjust foreign and national curricula to best suit the requirements of the student body, ensuring high-quality educational standards. The school employs a diverse range of educators and staff members from both local and international backgrounds. Students are given the opportunity to sit for international exams in order to validate their academic accomplishments against global benchmarks.

The educational program implemented follows the International Cambridge curriculum for all courses

with the exception of national subjects like language, Pancasila, and religion.

MSCS is a bilingual school

meaning it utilizes both Indonesian and English as the languages of conversation and instructional teaching. The proportion of English language usage reaches 90%. Subjects like Indonesian Language, Bible, and Sport /Health are taught in Indonesian.

The school provides foreign teachers

to enhance classroom instruction with an international focus and a more global perspective.

Grade 1 - 2	Monday to Friday	07.45 - 13.00
Grade 3 - 4	Monday to Friday	07.45 - 13.45
Grade 5	Monday to Friday	07.45 - 14.00
Grade 6	Monday to Friday	07.30 - 14.15

(Exception on ECA Day, dismissal hour will be different.)

In Elementary there are various kinds of activity programs, including:

Level Up

The activity is carried out every year when students are in grade 4. This activity aims to train life skills and independence of students. Through these activities, students can learn to sew buttons, iron clothes, cook and so on.

Field Trips

Activities that are carried out 2 times a year for each level in elementary. The activity aims to provide a real and fun experience for students according to some of the learning they get at their level.

Study Excursion

Activities carried out by 6th grade students to learn about the history, culture, and surrounding communities visited. Study Excursion has 2 streams, namely Singapore Study Excursion (SSE) and Local (Surabaya) Study Excursion (LSE).

Team (Math, Science, Basketball, Futsal)

It is a forum for students to develop their talents and train students to participate in national and international competitions representing the school.

Non-competition Team (Paskibra & Choir)

It is a forum for students to train and develop their talents to support ceremony activities at schools that are routinely held.

Students Led Conference

Activities at the end of each year to celebrate the success of students during 1 year of learning. Students can show what they have learned, the difficulties and successes they have faced during the 1 school year.

Retreat

Activities every year that are attended by 5th grade students. Through this activity, students have the opportunity to experience more encounters with the Lord Jesus with friends and teachers.
